I just started racing this season along with the family (they are Pros) and am purchasing my LTR tomorrow. Will do the breakin over the next couple days and race in Payette, ID this weekend in the 30+ C class (truely a newb!)

Anyone else on here that races WORCS or another dessert / moto style race?

I've been racing on a 1990 LT250R and this will be quite the upgrade.

Flying into Portland Friday night and heading straight to the track. Hopefully it isn't too muddy... I'll bring a couple sets of gear. Really excited to run Washougal... heard it's one of the best in the country.

Hey Chris... do I know you? ;)

I will be running the unclassified to get familiar with the track and then the 30C.

I was looking at the WORCS results page and I realized who you are... you are one fast dude!!! I remember seeing you and another guy stuck on the big uphill... but you quickly caught up again and took the win. What happened in that mess?

Your lap times were impressive... how long have you been riding? Racing? (Not calling you a sandbagger... )

I started racing last year. That was my 3rd worcs race 2 last year and Payette this year. Payette is my home track, I live 40 min away from there so I ride it 10 to 15 times a year. The hill sucked a guy stalled out in the middle so I bailed to the left and the guy fron Utah bailed to the right. I'm going to step up to B class next year. Then the next year I get to go to the 40 year old class. Wahougal will be a blast we are heading out at 5am tommorow to go play in the mud ..See you there.

I want to start racing in the WORCS series next season. I have to get out of the military first. I went to the races in Payette and have been hooked from there. I'm recovering from an ankle injury right now so riding and training are put on hold. I found out why nerf bars are important and that the back tire is unforgiving on your foot.

Chris - sorry about that blown bead! It was OUR pleasure to blow by you on YOUR track! hehehhe

Actually, I wanted to thank you for cheering us on from the pits. Your attitude on what's all about is awesome. I couldn't figure out what you were doing off the track that soon.

Washougal was a very fun race. I can not belief how slippery it was out there. The MX track was also awesome... I will look for some pix.

The down pour on Sunday was unreal during the last few seconds before the pros took off. I'm glad I don't live over there... but then again the trees / greenery were unreal!

I will be skipping Burnt Ridge - catch you guys in Monticello in September.

Hey Rooprick!!

Wow what a fun race Washougal was!!I raced the Stock B on Sat and the Vet B on Sunday. Well, I guess since I ride mostly trails like at Washougal (actually tighter trails). I was able to shine brightly there! I took 1st in both of my races, and if I would have raced the A class I would have qualified for the Pro-Am race.!!! So guess what!? I'm moving up to the A class for the Burnt Ridge race, and I hope it's just as muddy as Washougal! hehe

I think the problem that most people had at Washougal is that they were trying to go thru the trails at full throttle, and then would just slide out around a turn or whatnot.

I wish it was just a blown bead... two inch gash in the sidewall of my tire. Let's see....pi times 7.48 Pounds per gallon...carry the 2...square root of i...that equals two brand new Holeshot HD's and a debit to my account to the tune of $188 clams. Good thing I got the holeshot T-shirt!
