Airbox Boot Came Off Throttle Body...

When you say that it was only off for a little bit, what does that mean. What conditions were you ridding in, was the quad washed while the boot was off?
yes it was washed 
but i didnt get water in it. i was riding alone so it wasnt sucking tons of dust. just me bombing down dry trails about 60mph for about one hour. the TB had some blackish dust in it but no sludge or gritty stuff.
i took the bike in for the 100 mile valve adjustment(cause it back fired twice and had never done that before) and they found the misplaced boot. they said the compression is fine and the valves are spot on.
i feel real dumb because i usually catch those kinds of things, im just worried now that my motor will blow and the extended warentee wont cover it....

Obviously, no one can tell you how good or bad the cylinder is or could be without actually looking at it apart. I would assume that by what your telling me you should be ok. Probably no more than some light scratches.
ok so heres an intertesting bit of info. it just occured to me that the dealer was the last people to have touched/worked on the bike after they did the recall. the bike ran fine befor but after i got it back i noticed it back firing and not starting as good. so i took the thing in for a valve adjustment check and they told me that the TB boot was off and that it was my fault(they said i did it when i put the K&N in) i called Bullcrap and said that they were the last one to work on it not me.
the bill i got was $387 for vlave clearence check, clean the TB, clean the injector and to top it off they charged my $44.50 to clean the air filter!!!!!!!! which by the way i never asked them to do.
so monday im going back in that place to get my money back.
did i get ripped off or what????

When you took it back to the dealership did you sign off on the work to be preformed as you explained to them what you wanted to have done? The reason I ask is if you signed off on the work to be preformed your screwed. Except for the airfilter cleaning if it was not listed on the work up. Always get a copy of the work to be preformed. Now I don't agree with this statement I'm going to make, but if you modified your airfilter and you say the TB intake was found off after they serviced your bike and you rode it and then found it off. A court of law would favor the dealership. Here's why! It's easier to prove you touched that part last as you altered the intake by putting on a new airfilter, vs. proving the dealership mechanic who did not alter the bike with parts. You altered he didn't is what a court would hear. You would also have to prove he did not put it on correctly which you can't do. Unless we were talking about this happening with all the stock parts on then he would have to prove you did something wrong, he would then be liable. But who knows maybe if you pitch a fit maybe they will do something for you, but right now they owe you for a service you did not authorize which is the air filter cleaning.
