I took my LTR to the track last night, and 2 guys I know said they Dynoed one with a cherrybomb and the baffle out. then they put on a Yoshimura slip on and the Dyno didn't improve at all. I'm not sure if they changed the head pipe. Now I'm wondering if should bother spending $$ on a new pipe.

What do you guys think?

I think it's a waste of time and energy even thinking about it until Fuel releases the results of the shoot out :p

stritcly from seat of the pants feel, and real life experience.

The gainst you get with the Yosh pipe are well worth the money.

Overrev is where it most noticable. I would bet there is a 4hp peak gain from switching from the stock pipe to the Yosh Full system. The slip on, I dont know.

I have a slip on Yoshi and cb. Thats all I am going to do to the engine. Its fast enough for the woods riding I do. IMO, almost to fast, I dont know if the slip on made a difference in terms of power, vs the exhaust with the baffle out, but it sure looks and sounds alot better. The reason I didnt put on a full system is first off, the full exhaust costs about $480 with a 15% discount from the dealer. And whether you believe it or not, you need a PIM to maximize the power. Thats about $220 with the discount. Total thats about $700. I got my slip on for $318. I think its fast enough. Now, if your riding in sand, thats a different story. But for woods riding which all im doing in Wisconsin. I am happy. :D

Just road with my new full yoshi today, and YES there is a difference, i think a very noticable difference IMO. This thing is now a rocket. Everytime i go to the pit, i sell one of these machines for Suzuki. I should get paid for that. Suzuki. . . ?

i felt quite the difference when i put my full rs-5 on. my buddy has all the same mods as me on his r450 except for the exhaust, however, he weighs 60+ lbs less than me so he used to spank me in side by side drags, but now with the full yosh exhaust i come out a half quad length to a full quad length ahead of him almost every time. not to mention you can just feel the difference in your assometer

and no, you dont need a PIM for the full exhaust. just the cherry bomb will be fine. sure, if you had the PIM you MIGHT be able to suck a tick more power out of your ltr because of the different fuel maps available, but it is not necessary

Just installed my pro flo K&N... eeheeemmm! I am running the full RS-5 and just the cherry bomb.. I am still waiting for the ems kit from Yosh.. YES it is worth it.. I came home from the dunes before the install of the intake.. I weigh 225 and am 6'-2".. running 20" 8 paddle haulers and diamond traks on the front.. I was worried about having drop the gearing!! NOPE!! even with my weight. the front end on this bad boy was comming up as I hit the throttle strait up a bowl.. mean power.. more than I had with just the stock exhaust no shooter or lid.. it is worth it!!! I am excited even more now that my intake is installed.. I need my EMS kit. I rode it up the street..WOW! this thing is getting scary. and it sounds meaner than any thumper I have ever heard with the full RS-5 and no sparky and my intake.. it flat out rips.. I love my LTR!

You got a pro flo K & N? Isn't that a Pro Design? Pro Design is still about two weeks away from offering a kit with a K & N filter although they do offer their adaptor with their foam filter. I've seen Trinity (not the greatest products from what I've learned through the grape vine) and have seen a few generic adaptors with K & N filters for sale on Ebay. But Pro Design hasn't released theirs yet. I'm still waiting.....

Trinity has their issues to be sure BUT...their products are first class craftsmanship from what I have experienced. They treated me like a king when they found out I was having problems with my controller and they resolved it proto. I really think they got caught in this whole CRBM or not just like everyone else. Seems all the companies are doing the "Foot in mouth" shuffle. I have the ProFlow and it's good stuff. I may even try pulling the airbox completely off next just to see what MY ass-o-meter tells me. :D

not really, the yosh rs-5 muffler is a straight through "glass-pack" design. the stock one as i have come to believe is chambered and certainly is not straight through. they both weigh a ton tho, i wouldnt mind titanium instead of steel

might be on annother thread, and this is going off-topic, but you guys mention that you are putting in K&N/Trinity/Prodesign Filters. So, where can i look at the Trinity/Pro Design/K&N air filters?

Where to buy?

All the guys i ask, say it is not available?

What about the K&N airbox lid?
