I lost my watch a little over two weeks ago and just can't get over the feeling of not having one on anymore. Have been looking through intermediate priced watches (100-250$ range), and I found a place that'll sell the Citizen Eco-Drive style I've been looking for at a great price.

Citizen Eco-Drive

All the browsing around got me interested to see how many other people spend the cash on personal accessories. Anyone else sport any watches/chains/bracelets/necklaces/etc? The married guys at least have to be able to show off a ring or something...

Ah yes...SandJunkie's fashion tips for success. Gentlemen...there are three things that every successful business person looks at as a rule...
Your watch...
Your shoes...
Your tie...
Lastly your suit...

Here's my blingage...

Therefore you must address these in the following fashion...

Watch...as expensive as you see fit to invest in...a good watch will be with you more than your wife or girlfriend...so pick a lifelong companion...hopefully better than your last choice... When my jeweler asked if I wanted a watch to wear out to dinner or a watch that will be last a lifetime...I choose a watch that would last...he said "Well...then you want a Rolex"...Read up on them....they are truley a work of engineering art. I have had mine 10 years and it has never even been in for servicing...

Thats her Rolex next to mine...if your going to get one you better make sure she gets one too...or else...

Shoes...leather...preferrably Floresheims or LL Bean...I prefer Bass & Co...Weejuns...

Tie...must be silk...preferrably a Jerry Garcia...best looking ties IMO...and my wife picks out all my ties...

Suit...wool...single breasted or double for those with a little larger chest...I prefer double breasted suits but they are hard to find...

Remember that a good set of clothes will last longer than a expensive fashion statement that will be out of fashion by next year....

And just so you know my wife has been looking over my shoulder mocking me the whole time I have been typing this... :(

Here are a couple more watches for those disinclined to acquiesce to the request of purcasing the snooty, highly over rated, expensive Rolex. All are very practical watches and would be a fabulous addition to any mans wardrobe. It may even be plausible to admit that SandJunkies wife find them VERY amiable even to her high fashionable senses.

For those who are a little farsighted

PS....I make myself laugh. Truely, I'm not this eccentric nor intellegent. Its taken me 20m to type this post. Goes to show you just how bored we can get at work sometimes.

Well no photos, but i have a Movado that i bought about 10 years ago. Still in style and has held up VERY well over the years. I paid $580.00 back in the day. I think this Classic sells for $800.00 or so now. Very durable watch. Now i bought a all gold TAG about 5 years ago. I really like it , but for the $3000.00 it cost i should have got an entry level Rolex. Rolex hold their value, and are one of the most durable watches you can buy. In some cases they even go up in value. I have a very heavy gold braclet and necklace i bought about 8 years ago. I had them appraised last year for insurance purposes and they have doubled in value over what i paid for them ....... WOW ...... i guess gold has REALLY gone up in price.
