Well i finally tried these tires out last weekend at pismo. They sat on the bike for more than a month because for some reason we didnt go out riding. Anyway, These are 20inch haulers on a 6 inch rim, not sure about the rollout. I think these tires are great. The drag strip at Pismo was super soft so on take offs they did spin alot. The sand was dug out from days of people racing in the same exact spot so it was about 1ft of really loose sand. Once i got going though they worked really well. Im thinking these tires will do alot better in a long drag race or uphill like oldsmoblie. Ill have to see whenever the next trip to glamis is planned.

In duning it honestly didnt feel any different than my dads z400 which has 20x10x10 8 paddle haulers. You can still whip the bike around easily. I only weigh 130lbs and even I can move the back around while going. I dont have any problems with getting stuck or anything, not even close. I could putt in 1st gear up some steep dunes easily.

A 7 paddle might possibly be better for racing in shorter distances or somthing but its all so close i really dont know. I think these tires wouldnt be as good as an 8 paddle or somthing for takeoff becuase of the spinning but if youve got a long enough strip then thats where they shine. Overall though i give these tires a thumbs up. :D

Somtime i would really like to try the 9 paddle gliders that Fuel has, a set of 7 paddle haulers and maybe 6 paddle extremes all right after each other to really compare them. But until i get 4 sets of tires to test thats all the info i can give you guys.

Good info.
On the Glamis trip we just had, I was able to ride on my 6 paddle extremes. The difference between these and sandstars are huge. I basically gained a gear up Olds. With the sandstars it would only pull in 2nd gear. With the extremes and Hipers I was able to pull third. Now hopefully with an intake and PIM I will be able to pull 4th....Baby steps I guess. Now I just need to lose some weight!

No idea, How would i be able to measure that? or can I?

I am sure there is a real scientific way but in a pinch I just put a chalk mark on the bottom center of the tire just where it meets the pavement...picture a right angle and where the tire and pavement touch mark the tire and the ground. Roll the bike straight forward until the mark on the tire meets the pavement again...measure the distance...guessing somwhere around 65-66".

I have also seen guys use a sewing tape measure and wrap it around the tire but I am not sure how that works with the paddles??? Seems to me it would throw off the measurement. If the tires are new does it not still say on them?

I like to do mine in the grass or in the sand so the paddles won't add to the roll out..... the more paddles would make more roll out if you just used a tape around the circumfrance of the tire. But in a pinch that would be ok too since it gives us a ball park idea.

Thanks for this post. I raced a guy some time back with 20x10x10 8 paddle haulers.... same bike same mods. Vs. my 21" 7 paddles..... it was not pretty. Those 20" paddles spin too much out of the hole for my liking. It seems everyone out there likes a 20" tire and thats understandable due to the bouncy nature of the the 21's.

I'm going to have to send mine out there when ever you all do a tire test. To see how they measure up on a side by side comparo.
