Hey guys, I found a GREAT deal on a 2003 400EX and 2004 Recon ES... Im planning on keeping my LTR for racing, and the 400EX for the woods, and the Recon for my girlfriend. My question is... will the new 400EX plastic fit the older styler 400EXs? I know they have relocated 450R styled headlights, and a reverse knob on the fender. If it will fit, I'm going to put the key where the reverse knob goes. Anyone know if it will work? And also, how much modification would be needed? Im thinking I could weld a few brackets if neccessary, but I dont want anything to major. I dont know of any 400EX forums off the top of my head, so I figured I would post here. Thanks in advance.

I use to ride a 400ex a while back, personally preferred the look of laker plastics or stock witha hood over getting new style plastics but it will work. Everything should bolt right up, but I believe you have to drill two holes in the headlight (or just buy a hood for the 05/06 plastics).

Putting the key where the reverse switch is also common...also, be sure to get the 05 fender brackets
