400 Nerfs on the LTR450?

Since there are not really any nice nerfs for the LTR450 shipping as of today, I was thinking about modifying a set of Suzuki 400 nerfs. IMS-Roll makes some really nice nerfs with the heal guards but I am not sure how well they would line up with the rear fender and the peg mounts.
Are the pegs in the same peg mounts the same? What about the peg position in relation to the rear fender?

I was thinking about taking the bike and the nerfs to my buddies metal shop know that at least the fender support and the front mount to the frame would need modification but at the same time I do not want to re-engineer the wheel.

Any thoughts would be great!

best Regards,

That was very helpful! Thanks a for the info.

Now I just have to decide if I am going to be patient which I think I will. Although there are some Z400 nerfs that I have seen that look like they come up much closer to the height of the rear fender (then the ners in the pics of that thread) making fender the bracket much cleaner and easier. I saw pics of the ITP-Roll nerfs and theirs are the nicest I have seen yet although not for the LTR, it looked like when they come out with them for the LTR (end of April)they would be very good looking with their built in heel guards. Not as clunky looking as some of the others I have seen. Waiting until end of April will be hard. The AC's with the heel guards will apparently start shipping next week and look ok but I am not sold on the looks of any of them and the wait is killing me. I already got a new front bumber and skids for everything but no Nerfs is driving me crazy!
