I have a 2007 LTR and I noticed fuel slowly dripping onto my battery box top...I looked underneath the body panel and noticed a little fuel dripping from the fuel shutoff...it also has some sort or thick rubber hanging out from underneath the shutoff...I'm not familiar with this?!?! Any help please?!?

Sounds like a o-ring sealing the shutoff screw s leaking. not sure what thick rubber you are talking about tho.

The thick rubber is the rubber case that goes around the swirl filter... and your leak is most likely coming from the swirl filter bowl.. I've had 2 bikes develop that leak..

So where exactly is my swirl filter located? Is it inside my pet cock valve? Cause that thick rubber is underneath the petcock

it be either your o-ring on the fuel shut off like CQR noted or the o-ring in the swirl filter housing under the left front of the tank. If you take the plastics off and lift the tank youll be able to pinpoint it better. If its leaking on the battery box id bet the swirl filter housing o-ring because the housing is right above the battery and since the fuel shut off is more towards the middle rear of the tank.

i had the same problem make sure to use lock tight on the bolts
