STI / ALBA Beadlocks

Hey Everyone,

Has anyone ever ran STI Pro-Lite rear beadlocks?

I have DWT now but they are bent pretty bad and would like to try them but i'm hesitant.

If not what about ALBA?

Thanks!

If you are beating up dwt that much I don't think there is anyway a cheap knock off brand beadlock will hold up

how would bajas be stronger than a beadlock? All they are is a regular rim with a half ass ring welded to them

STI / ALBA Beadlocks

With a welded reinforcement ring yes.

Not a bolt on p.o.s.

And mine hold air

I'll never go back.

let me know how they work when you wack a couple trees with them. I knew some people in the local xc series that had them and the centers are really weak that is were they bend and wobble like crazy. I had rolled lip rims before my dwt and I clipped a tree friggin peeled the rim right open. Absolutely destroyed those things front and rear. Dwt beadlocks have gotten beat up but still perform well. Such a difference between open trail riding and racing hard in the woods!

What I've seen in the dez is you get what you pay for. DWT, Hiper (I know, shut up), OMF (modded DWT basically), and Bajas hold up really good. The cheaper ones like the these other idiots have said don't hold up. I've seen them after a 50 mile race look like stop signs and wobble bad. If DWTs aren't holding up you might have the wrong psi or the light wheels.

Thanks for the replies guys. But the DWT's actually did hold up great. Pronlem is they are about 4 years old now and 4 seasons of XC Racing. I was just wondering about these others holding up for 1 season.
