Tire or Beadlock Leak...

Ok Guys,

My problem is I have a leak in one of my front tires. Im running maxxis razr 2 on DWT beadlocks. It doesnt leak air fast enough to spot when submerged in water, but when I run it, the weight and force put on it makes it lose air. I cant figure out if its my beadlock rings or my tires. I dont want to buy new tires and them still leak...And I dont want to get new rings and it be the tire.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks.

Tear them down and apply some liquid bead sealer. See if that helps.

Hey that might be a good idea. Also would it hurt to try and put some fix-a-flat in it and run it to see if it seeps out?

FYI Im also running tire balls.

I hate what fix a flat does to the tire and wheel. Its nasty corrosive stuff.

I'll stay away from that then! ATV Galaxy has really good deals on rings so I might try to pick some up anyway. Mine are pretty beat up.

I'd say it's the ring since they're beat up. Several guys I race with use DWT and the rings would leak as soon as it took a beating.

I used to run the 2 and to find the leak I'd put about 8lbs in it then soap it up.

Thanks PapaOX, I did see a cut in the tire so I pulled it off and felt the inside and it wasnt all the way through, so I aired it up and just soaped to cut and nothing bubbled so Im going to say its the rings as well. They have about 2 seasons on them.

plus if you are running tire balls there is very little air volume in the tire to get your desired tire psi. A very small leak will make your psi drop quickly with tire balls installed
