Dakar Ltr

In honor of the Dakar race, the Dakar Ltr.
50 liter/13 gal tank
3 liter extra coolant tank
Instrumentation: roadbook, 2 brand Q1 Trip, GPS antennas, GPS support, Centinel
TCS tuned shocks
dual HID lights
dual fuel pumps inside tank
22 inch tires
relocated higher intake placement

No this one was 07 or 08. Thought I'd share all the stuff they put on these things. Didn't even mention how much more oil it holds.

RG is one to watch. Was it last year he did that jump hauling down that hill?

The motors have mostly just head work and new maps, anything else and they don't last very long. The ones I've seen from this years have extra oil tanks, looks around 2-3 quarts. Since they don't have a tight rule book they can do some wicked stuff to them. Saw a R700 where the exhaust ran under the frame then hugged the subframe.

Under the frame, to get heat away from the motor?

Sure hope they don't smash any boulders with it

I love seeing the creative ideas on them things

I remember being a old drooling over the pikes peak banshees and quadzillas

Most of the bikes also run the exhaust under the frame due to the size of the gas tanks. That's what I was thinking too, bolder meet pipe meet dnf.
