WoodsRERider Turned out it was in fact the starter clutch. Replaced now with zero issues with regards to starting.

tylerltr450 Why not take the time to truly know if its the starter clutch. pop the starter gear cover off and look to see if its spinning or not.

WoodsRERider Did some online research. Seems this is a common problem and most likely the starter clutch? How difficult is this to tackle as I’d rather not waste more money at the shop? Also would it be wise to replace the actual starter motor too at this point as a precaution?

WoodsRERider Just got my LTR back from the shop as it needed a valve cover gasket and I didn’t have time to do it myself. Took it out riding a few times with no issues. I noticed it started to have trouble starting up as time went on. Now today it won’t start. I can hear the starter spinning/buzzing but it doesn’t engage or seem to be turning over anything? Not sure what this is about but not too happy after just getting it back. Bad starter? I wish it was kick start instead lol
