well i was putting my axle on tonight and i got everything where it should be but the axle nut won't tighten and it's being a real Pain in the ass! Does anyone know what way you need to turn it it to tighten it? I tried following threads but my mind just isn't with me and the manual didn't say which way tightens or loosens..i tried going both ways and nothing either way and it's pissing me off!! Any advice or tips b/c im up for hearing anything

you did remember to put the c-clip in right. other problem might be is the threads are stripped, also i had to use a pipe wrench to tighten it i didn't have a big enough crescent wrench. hope this helps.

well the c clip doesn't have to be put on just yet b/c the lock nut is splined so it doesn't move...im just having trouble gettin the nut to break loose..

Well the lock nut pushes up against the c-clip and that what locks it in. from there the locknut expands when tightening it and makes the axle tight.and why the lock nut is tight is because it has really rough loctite on it from the factory, mine was tough too. like i said earlier use a big wrench for leverage.
