I did not see are you going to get new a-arms, or are you going to run stock a-arms?

Mxquad -- nice post

FUEL is spot on - it's ALL about valving. Quality components are what make them LAST.

You need to look at what you are paying for. Big ad's, factory riders, etc. OR labor to make your shocks YOUR shocks. TCS use to use Work's stuff -- but after they rebuilt it -- it was the bomb.
People get so wrapped up in a NAME. That's what we do. You think The $50 Abercrombie shirt I am wearing right now is better than a $15 Old Navy -- probably not.
First let's look at what we have to start with --- WE have KILLER shocks. Heads and shoulders above the 450r's -- and those were nice after a revalve from TCS or Derisi.
We have HUGE shafts.... .... take that Honda -- our shafts are much bigger than yours !!!!
Rebound on the front and High AND low speed compression on the back. I have heard some of the re-builders already saying that the progressive spring is on --- the valving is just WAY off. Others will go with the triple-rate springs. TCS is talking about another 1"-2" travel in the rear with STOCK linkage.
Sure you can order PEPs and have them custom built for you and they are nice. You can buy Elka's and get them revalved. OR you can have yours re-built for YOU. The QUALITY of components is about the same......you are just already half way there with the ones you already OWN. I WILL have mine re-built -- and get the most out of what is there. I would rather stand on the podium with "stock" shocks anyday.
That will just piss the competetion off that much more.

OK what about for a person as small as me? I think the stock shock springs might be way too much for me. At the most I weigh about 120. Is long travel much better than the stock shocks? I have NEVER had proper suspension set up for me and it has cost me several injuries on the old quad. Im looking at probably getting a long travel set up during the off season.

I would seriously check into Fuel's LT set-up thats going on my LTR right now...I have the TCS shocks mocked up and you can see some pics of them in my other post...I can just tell already that these things are gonna rock...and the price was extremely competitive...I would PM him to find out more if you get a chance...
