Well I have a friend with a 05 TRX 450 all triked out and it is very fast.

LT-R 450 07
White
ATP's Port & polish
ATP's +1 Ti exhaust valves
ATP's Big bore 13.75:1 compression
ATP intake cam
fuel atv intake
HMF Iron man

I raced a TRX 450 last weekend and killed him. Out of 6 people lined up, he came in last every time.

Buddy's '07 TRX w/HRC kit vs. '07 YFZ450 vs. my '06 LTR cherry'd out and I lose everytime. That Honda w/ the HRC kit is amazingly faster than the YFZ and now I'm anxiously awaiting to run my LTR with the full HMF and dyno'd PCIII to see how I finally stack up. Might even do an intake cam too!

But, this Honda guy is obviously a TOOL to the top!

cant base one whole model of quad just on ONE or 2 that you have raced personally, thats stupid..
ANY of these quads can be fast, just because your next door neighbors best friends cousin's friend's 450r lost to your ltr by 1/2 length doesnt mean they are all crap..

which year are u referring to? before you go on blindly bashing s**t.. you should realize they made some DRASTIC changes in the trx through the years... generalizing every trx into the same group, because you beat your friends trx&#39;s is a testament to how much stupidity the internet forums breed

this one time my friend beat a banshee on his stock z400.. whats the prove? the guy on the banshee was a moron... lol

the two things i love about my two hondas, is the simplicity of the motors and the reliability... those are two things that you can&#39;t buy aftermarket.

You can buy reilability, you just put better quality parts on the bike. I think the people at honda are hard headed as hell. If im not mistaken they still have not fixed ther frame cracking problem. Atleast suzuki fixed there frame problems. And are atleast trying to fix there tranny problem. I do hate what a fu*%^#$ pan in the azz this bike is to work on though. I guess that has some so do with the efi stuff.

Thats because honda designs there stuff for trail people and rec riders....and figure racers will mod them and beef them up when they beat them up. They jet them lean from the factory for emissions, and keep them corked up and all tht crap because its what they bilieve in. And a dead stock LTR no cherry bomb is slow........now SLOW slow...but slower then a 450r...know that for a fact......but when you throw a cherry bomb on an ltr(just 30 dollars) wow what a value/power upgrade...it hauls. Then it beats a 450r hands down. My buddy has a ltr...and i have a 04 honda 450r(very modded............edelbrock carb, 470cc kit, hotcams, yoshimura full exhaust, billet intake, rev box, high compression) and it straight up runs away from his 06 with cherry bomb and full yosh&#39;d ltr. I know mine is more modded, but were talking hugeeee gap once in 5th gear. But i gotta say i LOVE the ltr&#39;s smooth delivery because of the efi, design, and twin counter balancers......im getting one here shortly for the simple fact that smoother power is faster on track.
