ltz 400
Hey a friend of mine just bought a ltz 400 w/no owners manual. He would like me to change the oil so does anyone on this site own a 400 quadsport that could help.Do you have to add oil to the case as you would on the LTR?Or does all the oil just go in the oil tank?I googled it but no definate answers.
Thanks

Keep in mind when you drain the case its connected to the oil tank. So as soon as you start putting oil in the tank it back fills into the case. Just fill the oil tank up to the fill mark on the tank and run it for a minute and shut if off and recheck the oil level and add more if needed. If if you feal uncomfertable doing that pull the plug and crank if for a minute to let it rebuild some oil pressure and then fire it back up. That is how I did it with my Z for years and never had an oil pressure related problem, realy I never had a problem with the motor in that bike at all that was not related to my own stupidness.
