Have to pull start, blows blue smoke, any answers?
i was at haspin acres, cruising and my 06 ltr shut off, pull started it cause it wouldnt refire under its own starter, ran fine for ten mins when to go up a hill it lost power and killed it, pull started it again, huge puff of blue smoke shot out the exhaust and a little around the headpipe and i would have to keep it wide open to mid range just to keep it running and i killed it and noticed there was about a quart of oil in my airbox, its under warranty so im going to send it in, but can somone give me an idea on whats wrong?

That happened to me. My piston broke in half!
535 with 13.5.1 piston

the first time that happened to me the whole piston skirt dropped into the case but i caught it in time so no bottom end damage but at my last race my quad bogged out then filled the track with smoke and i havent pulled it apart yet but i am sure the rings are gone in it because it was a new motor
