I hate having to remove my full skid to change the oil. When rebuilding my tranny I noticed the few set screws on the bottom of the engine cases and I pulled them to see what they went to (they really seem to serve no purpose, maybe used when casting the cases, and if I remember right, they screw into the bottom of the case where the oil drain bolts are anyways). It seems to me that you could just replace those with regular bolts/drain plug w/gasket and use them for oil draining. Then you could just drill two holes in the skid and BAM!! Oil changes made easier. errrr is there a better way????????

Other than what you said, probably not. Not worth cutting holes in the skid plate. Cut two holes in the frame and use a long extension on a ratchet.

my pro armor skid has a hole for the oil drain so i would just cut a hole in the skid big enough to get the bolt out
