Sorry to hear about your watch. As for the crystal replacements, you can go with a generic crystal and it'll still pass a pressure test. It'll save you a bunch. Ask your Rolex dealer if they carry aftermarket crystals, and you can always replace it later after it gets scratched up again. They recommend replacing the seals once a year, but I know most people don't do that. Oh yeah, it didn't hit just right. It hit just wrong.

Yea I have heard about the generic stuff but...thats just not me...I already gave it to my guy so he's going to takei it apart and let me know the damage. My last Rolex went 10 years without a service...which was $650...so I feel pretty confident with their product...

that sux Jim. That had to hurt when you first saw the crystal. Hopefully thats all thats wrong.
